Why we’re hosting the Coworking Operators Weekend 2026

Earlier this year, I walked into the Operator's Summit in Los Angeles with a simple plan: listen, learn, and connect.

I didn’t even bring business cards. Just me, a notebook, and a genuine curiosity about how coworking operators are thinking about their spaces—and their businesses—right now.

What I walked away with was more than unrelated insights. It was clarity. You can read more about that.

The conversations were raw, honest, and refreshingly unfiltered. There were no polished pitches, no keynote influencers. Just real operators in the room—owners, managers, and community builders—talking about what’s actually working, what’s not, and what’s keeping them up at night.

That event reminded me of something important: coworking isn’t just an industry. It’s a practice. And the people who make it happen? They’re the ones in the trenches, doing the real work every day.

That’s why we’re bringing it back.

We’re proud to announce that Coworks will host the second Coworking Operators Weekend, a gathering built specifically for those boots-on-the-ground folks who make coworking run.

The theme this year is “Built from the Floor Up.”

Because that’s what you do: build. Every day.

You juggle memberships, events, maintenance, marketing, tours, invoices, and still find time to learn your members’ names. You don’t need another hype-filled tech conference. You need a weekend surrounded by people who understand exactly what your days look like.

So that’s what we’re creating.

Why this matters

At that LA summit, one thing was crystal clear: operators are overwhelmed with sales and marketing. Everyone was asking the same questions:

  • How do I get quality leads?

  • Are aggregators worth it?

  • Why is my CRM so hard to use?

  • Do I need to be on five platforms?

The truth is, most operators are sitting on leads they don’t even realize they have. Buried in emails. Lost in spreadsheets. Forgotten in a CRM they haven’t touched in months.

And don’t get me started on AI versus automation. It’s a hot topic, but not always helpful. A lot of platforms sell “flexibility” by handing you a pile of tools and saying, “Go build it yourself.” But most operators don’t want to be no-code architects. They just want software that works, software that is smart, simple, and set up for success.

This event will tackle those pain points head-on.

What to expect at this event

We’re teaming up with Jerome Chang and Jackie LaTragna—the brilliant minds behind the LA summit—to build something special for the East Coast. Think:

  • Intimate, actionable sessions (no fluff, no filler)

  • Peer-led talks from people actually running spaces

  • Practical strategies for scaling, staffing, and selling

  • Honest conversations about AI, automation, and sustainability

  • And plenty of time to connect, recharge, and swap ideas

This isn’t about chasing trends. It’s about helping you run a better business, serve your members, and reclaim your time.

If you're a coworking operator, this weekend is for you.

Not an influencer. Not a tech vendor. Not a "future of work" pundit.

You.

We’re calling in the folks who build community one relationship at a time. Who open the doors each morning, fix the coffee machine when it breaks, and still manage to make every member feel seen.

This is your weekend. Built from the floor up.
