Located steps from Greenville’s hottest scene—Unity Park and the Swamp Rabbit Trail—Social House redefines where and how modern professionals thrive.
It’s not just coworking. It’s a lifestyle hub designed for the creators, founders, freelancers, and remote teams who want more than just Wi-Fi and coffee.
Here, the 9-to-5 blends into the 5-to-whenever with 24/7 smartphone access to premium workstations, a podcast + video studio, gaming lounge, pool table, full bar, outdoor patio, TVs, and even personal beverage lockers.
"Our members work hard and chill harder," said the event management and member coordination specialist Bella Shafer. "They call Social House the future of hybrid hustle—right in the heart of Greenville’s trendiest corridor."
When Shafer joined Social House , she stepped into a role that’s part front-desk support, part community-builder — and fully essential to what makes the Greenville coworking space thrive.
On the verge of finishing up college when she spoke to us, Shafer is helping to shape the way folks experience Social House, from onboarding new members to dreaming up events that connect and inspire.
“People want a productive and innovative space where they can get work done — but also a place that feels like your second home ,” Shafer explained. “We’re creating that balance.”
Social House draws a diverse crowd, mirroring the broader Greenville County business landscape. From solo entrepreneurs to remote professionals working for major corporations, members come for the professional setting and state of the art amenities — and stay for the community.
“You’ll find someone watching The Masters on our 200-inch projector screen while getting work done,” Shafer said. “Or someone stepping next door for a quick yoga break. We’ve got that blend of relaxed and focused that just works.”
Being located in Unity Park doesn’t hurt either. Social House is surrounded by evolving neighborhoods and energetic small businesses. The team has built partnerships with neighbors like:
These partnerships go beyond convenience — they reinforce the sense of community and home-like feel that sets Social House apart. "Social House isn’t just where you get things done," she said. "It’s where you actually want to be."
While private rentals help anchor the business, Shafer is focused on building more public, member-driven events. Recently, Social House hosted a baseball card trading event that saw an impressive turnout. Up next? A Unity Park community movie night on that massive projector screen, complete with snacks and space for families and friends.
Shafer’s goal is to offer a mix of recurring and pop-up events that suit different member lifestyles — from monthly networking nights to seasonal celebrations like backyard barbecues that help make Social House your home away from home.
“Some people want to get in, get work done, and leave. Others want to stay and connect,” she said. “We’re meeting members where they are — even sending out surveys to guide what kinds of events they want.”
Shafer is already seeing how coworking solves a real challenge for remote professionals — especially among her generation.
“It’s hard working, eating, and sleeping in the same place,” she said. “Coworking gives people that structure and energy without the long commute or pressure of a traditional office.”
She shared a recent example: a new member who toured the space because working from home with his spouse wasn’t cutting it. He signed up on the spot, drawn to the innovative vibe, productivity perks, and real sense of belonging.
Amenities like a kitchenette, shared showers and sauna via the yoga studio, and a dog-friendly policy add even more personality and comfort to the space. With their 200” projector screen, billiard games, massive outside porch, and state of the art surround sound system, what's not to love. Social House is breaking barriers for what coworking spaces can and should be!
Though she’s still new to the role, Shafer uses Coworks coworking software daily — especially to communicate with members.
“I love being able to send text and email blasts so easily,” she said. “I know there’s more I can do with it, and I’m excited to learn.”
Compared to older systems she’s encountered at other clubs and internships, Coworks feels like a breath of fresh air. “It’s user-friendly and intuitive,” she said. “It makes my job easier — which is exactly what software should do.”
Whether you’re managing a single location or growing a multi-site coworking brand, Coworks helps simplify member management, events, tours, and community-building.
